iMAAP

Nothing is more important on our roads than safety, and that is especially true in India where road crash and fatality rates have traditionally been among the worst in the world. TRL Technologies is working together with various state governments, police and regional transport agencies to help improve the country’s safety record – with our world-leading crash data management system software iMAAP at the heart of this mission.

iMAAP is the latest version of the MAAP suite of products that TRL has been developing and refining since the 1980s. Already the most widely used crash data system on the market, it has now been fully overhauled to offer mobile-friendly use and full integration with the latest technologies. By replacing older systems with fully connected, multi-user databases, iMAAP allows crash data to be entered quickly and efficiently by staff from multiple agencies. The software is then able to analyse this information, compare it with historic data and generate solutions that can help develop strategies, programmes and projects to reduce the number of road crashes, deaths and serious injuries on the road network.

TRL Technologies were able to showcase the power of iMAAP in Himachal Pradesh, a mountain state in the north of India which had one of the country’s worst road death rates despite its relatively small population.
